While not much can be seen from the outside, what's under the hood packs a huge punch. This project allowed a presenter to control an entire shows content with the push of a button on any device.
Behind the certain where a team usually calls the show hides a small black box (computer). This computer does everything that would normally take multiple people. On the stage the presenter holds a device, which can be anything they desire. This device connects to a small web server running on the black box allowing the presenter control the show to their own pace using TCP commands. The web pages are set up in a way that they can click through an entire show on there as well as control audio and lighting using OSC commands. At ceratin parts of the show remote feeds are also introduced. This allowed for another presenter to be back stage or out on the show floor detailing other vehicle featuers not on the stage or show audeience members reactions to game shows.
An entire show could be re written within a few hours since all content is driven by a simple JSON file to tell the application which slide or feature to show.
The best part! out of 75 autoshows across the country ever thing was updated remotely and then uploaded to the black box to help customize each cities show. This allowed to reduce costs by not having to travel to every show and update the content.
